I started playing lacrosse in 8th grade when I was 5’1”, 100 lbs soaking wet. Frankly, I was terrible when I first started, but I was quick and won a lot of ground ball drills so I stuck with it. The thing about learning to play when you’re a small kid is you get creative, fast.

I eventually learned to be well rounded by minimizing my weaknesses (size, strength, and stick skills) and I doubled down on my strengths (quickness, speed, being made out of rubber) to develop my niche specialties.

I’m a 2-way midfielder who takes face offs, which means I do a little bit of everything, cross check on defense, scrap for the ball off face offs, and occasionally (rarely) shoot on offense. I like being a midfielder because I get to see almost every aspect of the game and can adapt to every situation. My life is no different, I strive to be well rounded and adaptable in every situation I find myself in.

My senior year, my team made it to the National Semifinals and lost in overtime to the #1 seed, I made the MCLA D1 National All Tournament Team, was selected as Team MVP, and was SELC 2nd Team All Conference. I am extremely proud of how much I have grown since I started and have loved every moment of the sport. I now run out of breath in pick up leagues and reminisce in the glory days.

Here’s a gallery of some highlights and low-lights. Enjoy!
